Chris' Bio.
A native Houstonian, Chris grew-up in Kemah. After high school, Chris enlisted for eight-years in the US Marines during which Chris attended an in-depth electronics school in 29 Palms, California. After active duty, Chris' interests turned to computers. In the mid-80s, Chris developed the software and built the custom hardware for a 12-line bulletin board system (BBS) that provided real-time chat (similar to instant messages of today) and matchmaking (similar to www.match.com) for up to 12 simultaneous users. Over the years, Chris has worked in positions of increasing responsibility, from electronics technician, computer repair, programmer, hardware engineering, design and fabrication, network administrator, and network manager. In November 1995, Chris joined Microsoft where he held titles such as Systems Engineer, Field Beta Engineer, and Sr. Technology Specialist. In 1997, Chris received an award from Bill Gates for being the #1 Systems Engineer within the Central Region of North America. Chris left Microsoft in 2003, to pursue investments in real estate, and currently owns a handful of single-family rental homes and one small apartment complex, all located in The Woodlands. They can be seen on the web sites: www.chrisoproperties.com and www.buddegardens.com. For recreation, Chris enjoys scuba diving, camping, traveling (Australia twice!), C&W dancing, and toying with his turbocharged 1990 Toyota Celica All-Trac GT4 which can be viewed on www.turbocelica.com. Speaking of C&W dancing, Chris served as an instructor at SSQQ in Bellaire from 1994 to 1999.
