Outback Western Wear LLC. Please read this memo
for introductory information regarding our job opening. Should you have any
questions, please do not hesitate to ask during your interview.
Skills: Employees must demonstrate
basic computer skills, basic math skills, knowledge of western wear, ability and
desire to learn how to shape hats. Employees must be unafraid to engage
customers in conversation.
The following skills are a plus: prior retail experience, experience eBay buying
and selling with Turbo Lister, Microsoft Excel & Word, digital photography
(specifically – resizing/compressing JPG images), and QuickBooks.
Duties: As a retail store, employees
are required to perform all duties necessary to operate the store, including but
not limited to: answering phones, helping customers, shipping & receiving,
cleaning, taking out the trash, and other duties as directed from time to time.
We have an Event Hall in Magnolia, and employees will tend to it both before and
after each rental. Employees must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Conduct: Employees must conduct
themselves in a professional manner with an upbeat, positive, friendly,
customer-focused attitude.
Dress Code: Employees must wear
reasonably current western fashions, including boots.
Locations: We have two locations,
one in Magnolia and another at Market Street in The Woodlands, and you may
work at one or both. We occasionally have display and sales booths at various
locations, such as but not limited to the malls, Magnolia Horse Club, &
Montgomery County Fair, and employees are expected to be available to work these
locations as needed.
Hours: Employees are expected to be
available to work any and all hours we are open at both locations, including
Saturdays and Sundays. Full-time employees typically work 32 – 40 hours;
part-time employees typically work 10 to 32 hours. The actual hours you work
each week may and will likely vary from these numbers. Typically, employees work
few, if any, overtime hours.
