Returns & Exchanges

We accept returns of purchases within thirty (30) days of delivery on most items sold to buyers in the USA.  A few items may have a shorter return period, or sold as a "final sale", however, these items will be clearly noted.

Please note the following applies to returns for refund or exchange:

  • Customer-paid shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Customer pays return shipping charges, and all future shipping on exchanges.
  • Shipping charges are taxable for shipments sent to a Texas address.
  • In order to maintain the integrity of the items we sell, we do not accept the return of items after the tags have been removed. Sadly, it's the only way to prevent some folks from buying an item, wearing it, and then returning it. 
  • Customer is responsible for returns lost in transit back to us. Please insure your returns.

To return an item for refund or exchange, simply follow the procedure at the bottom of this page.  Once we receive the item, we will process your refund or exchange as quickly as possible - typically the same day but not more than 3 business days later.

International Sales - We welcome international buyers.  When importing items into your country, buyers are responsible for any and all import duties, customs and brokerage fees.  Please do not mistake or confuse these added costs as additional shipping or freight charges. We will not under-value our merchandise or mark them as “gifts” on the customs form. Additionally, buyers are responsible for knowing what can and cannot be imported into your country.  For example, some countries do not allow the importation of boots made from exotic animals such as ostrich and caiman. Unfortunately, we cannot ship Ariat shirts, jeans and boots internationally. However, we can ship Ariat belts, wallets and ball caps internationally. We do not accept any returns on international sales. 

Exchange Reship Fees - When an item is returned for exchange, we charge a fee to ship out the replacement item. Reship fees apply to all exchanges, including items which sold with free shipping.

The Exchange Reship fees are assessed according to the following schedule:

  • $5 for small jewelry, lightweight leather belts, ball caps, cell cases, wallets, and other small, lightweight items.
  • $8 for jeans, shirts, western leather and suede vests, heavier belts, and other items like candles, glassware & boot trees.
  • $12 for sport coats & outerwear such as vests & jackets
  • $14 for dusters (they are heavy!)
  • $12-14 - footwear priced below $200
  • $14-18 - footwear priced $200-299
  • $19-27 - footwear priced $300-499
  • $20-30 - footwear priced $500 and up
  • $20 for cowboy hats

The amounts noted above represent our median shipping cost for said items. 

Other Charges - Please note the following additional charges....

  • A $20 service charge for shipping redirects if you request a change to the shipping destination after the item has departed our facility.  FedEx and UPS actually charge us for package redirection.

Instructions for Returning Items to Us - To initiate a return, please following the steps below.

  • Contact us for an Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.  Email is usually quickest.
  • Make a copy of the Packing Slip received with the item. Retain the original.  On the copy, write a note indicating whether you want a refund or want to swap for a different size. Then, place the copy in the shipping container along with the item.
  • Securely package the item to be returned to us in a suitable shipping container. (Hopefully, you retained the box we used!)
  • Place all manufacture's boxes into another box or wrap with either a poly bag or kraft paper.  Please do not affix any tape, stickers or shipping labels to the manufacture's box.
  • Once you have the package ready to go, affix the shipping label.
  • Under the shipping label, write your RMA# with a black sharpie.
  • Give the package to the shipping company.

While we don't need to receive the item back within the return period, it does need to be given to the shipping company within the return period.  We simply request that buyers get the item in the mail to us asap once you receive the RMA number so that the return does not drag on forever.   Yes, that has happened..

Always, always, always use a shipping method that includes tracking and purchase ample insurance in case the package is lost. Once we receive the item, we will be in contact with you regarding your refund or exchange.  Refunds are processed typically within two to five days after receiving the returned item.
